Although they live in Poznań, their aid reaches far beyond Poland’s borders. And there is much to be done, as in Africa, over 30% of the population still lacks access to clean water. They drink dirty water, wash in it, which leads to diseases and death. This is why the Poznań-based foundation Africa Help has been supporting the residents of Tanzania and Uganda for years. How do they provide this support, and how can these efforts be assisted? We discussed this with Anna Walkowiak, the foundation’s president.

Africa HELP is a non-governmental organization primarily focused on providing clean water and basic medical facilities to residents of Africa. Through its activities, the foundation helps reduce the incidence of diseases caused by dirty, untreated water.
In some regions of Africa, accessing a water source requires drilling over 200 meters deep. The Africa HELP Foundation assists in constructing wells but also strives to educate African children, thereby increasing their chances for a better future.
In Spotkanie przy kawie (Meeting Over Coffee), Arkadiusz Szymański discussed the activities of the Africa HELP Foundation with its founder and visionary, Anna Walkowiak.
